DAY TO DAY WORK
- Visiting treatment plants, construction sites and other water facilities to identify potential hazards.
- Talking with workers and managers about health and safety concerns.
- Assessing risks and helping teams work out how to control them.
- Investigating workplace incidents and helping prevent similar incidents in the future.
- Helping develop safety procedures and safe work practices.
- Supporting safety training, inductions and toolbox talks.
- Checking that contractors understand and follow safety requirements.
- Keeping track of safety performance and preparing reports.
- Helping teams safely manage hazards such as chemicals, machinery, electricity and confined spaces.
- Keeping up to date with Australian workplace health and safety laws and requirements.
