About the Role

We are recruiting for two Planning and Scheduling Leads, one to cover the North West region and one covering the South East. Reporting to the Manager of Planning and Scheduling, these roles are pivotal within the Service Delivery Portfolio. You will be responsible for: leading a team of professionals including program planners, schedulers and coordinators, to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of a large program of work, using internal and external partner resources, for natural and built assets.

  • You will work cohesively across service delivery portfolio, tracking performance against KPI’s, and identifying, implementing, improvements and efficiencies across planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure safety and environmental aspects considered across planning, scheduling and coordination activities.
  • Provide leadership to support personal and professional development.
  • Help to foster a culture of Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
  • A valid Driver’s Licence is required as this role requires occasional travel.

About you:

  • You will be experienced in leading, managing, and motivating employees and teams to deliver results.  
  • Have developed interpersonal skills and a high level of influencing and negotiation skills.  
  • Be experienced in the planning, management, development and execution of delivery programs.  
  • Have a strong sense of commercial and financial business acumen.  

These are full-time positions primarily based from Brooklyn Pumping Station. You will be required on occasions to travel to other Melbourne Water locations and will have access to an operational Pool vehicle.

The Security of Critical Infrastructure (SoCI) Act 2018 requires Melbourne Water, as an operator of critical infrastructure, to prepare a Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CIRMP), which has been undertaken and managed by the Security and Emergency Management Team.

Melbourne Water are required to assess roles across Melbourne Water to determine what roles are critical under the Act. All employees working in a role deemed SOCI critical will require additional background checks via AusCheck.  These roles are deemed critical and the preferred applicant will be asked to undertake an AusCheck.
