About the role
We currently have an opportunity for an Engineer or Environmental Scientist to join the Living Lands and Water team in our Brisbane or Gold Coast office. In this role, your day to day will include:
· Proposal input and project analysis
· Undertaking of hydrographic and water quality field data collection
· Set-up, execution and post-processing of numerical modelling tools
· Participation in problem solving discussions, and provision of insights for project enhancements
· Engagement in learning opportunities, training sessions, and workshops to enhance technical skills and gain exposure to various engineering disciplines.
· Participation in other business activities such as Water Technology internal committees, internal training programs, R&D processes or external professional committees.
About you
If you want to make a difference and drive a positive change in sustainable water management, this role may be for you. This role suits someone in the mid-career space with 5-12 years of industry experience. We are especially interested in candidates with:
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or Environmental Science
· Exposure to hydrological, hydraulic and water quality modelling
· Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
· Experience in management of small projects
· Consulting or council/local government experience preferred
· Passion for environmental and water sustainability and management
· Ability to think independently while constructively contributing to teamwork
· Strong report writing skills (there will be an assessment as part of the hiring process if you are shortlisted)
