Tasmanian Irrigation (TI) exists to secure Tasmania’s agricultural prosperity and growth by ensuring access to irrigation water where and when it is needed. TI is a State-Owned Company that proudly designs, develops, owns and operates irrigation schemes that create jobs, grow the wealth of regional communities and deliver highly reliable irrigation water sustainably, cost effectively and efficiently. TI plays a critical role in assisting the Tasmanian Government to achieve its target of increasing the farmgate value of the State’s agricultural sector to $10 billion a year by 2050.
TI is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its exciting future in both the development and establishment of new irrigation schemes and the efficient operation of existing and planned schemes. The CEO will champion and drive the implementation of the 2035 Strategic Plan and provide leadership and strategic direction to a highly motivated team, driving a culture of high performance, innovation and employee engagement.
The CEO will foster and sustain effective relationships across a broad range of stakeholders including the Company’s valued employees, customers, business partners, and State and Federal Government representatives. The CEO will drive cost effective and sustainable irrigation schemes in collaboration with the irrigation community.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished values driven leader with a proven track record at executive leadership level, and exceptional management and communication skills. The role will suit a strategic thinker with extensive commercial acumen and outstanding stakeholder management skills. The ability to build collaborative working relationships is essential, together with a customer centric focus and ability to influence, engage and represent an organisation.
