Power and Water Corporation is a Northern Territory Government (NTG) owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and within a range of diverse environmental conditions, ranging from the arid dry of the central desert to the tropical monsoon of the top end. The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory (NT) for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.

Are you interested in making a valuable contribution to our operational effectiveness by coordinating and overseeing the repairs, maintenance and operation of Power and Water’s assets associated with water and wastewater systems? We are looking for two Water and Sewer Coordinators to join our Southern region team, based in Alice Springs.

You will help ensure that water and wastewater systems are operated and maintained to agreed service levels and licence requirements through efficient and effective management of the day-to-day repairs and operation of water and wastewater assets.

You will help provide 24/7 service coverage and prompt response to system interruptions, which will require regular travel to and undertaking inspections of remote community assets.  You will have AQF Certificate III in water or wastewater operations or formal trade certificate in a related field and significant experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of equipment associated with water and wastewater systems.
