We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as Senior Engineer – Dams, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and efficient management of our referable dam infrastructure.

As the Senior Engineer - Dams, you will be responsible for overseeing the regulatory compliance, upgrades, and overall asset management of our referable dams. You will ensure that all dam infrastructure meets stringent safety standards, complies with relevant regulations, and is maintained to the highest standards. Your work will include managing inspections, coordinating upgrade projects, and developing long-term strategies for the sustainable management of these vital assets.

This role isn’t just about engineering – it’s about safeguarding our community and environment. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, address technical challenges, and contribute to the resilience of our water infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) and eligibility for corporate membership of Engineers Australia / Professionals Australia.
  • Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ), or attainment of RPEQ within 6 months of appointment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in dam safety engineering in Australia, including with dam safety management programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare written documents in a concise and succinct manner, appropriate to the intended audience, so that technical issues are effectively communicated.
