Our Vacancy
We are seeking a Senior Project and Maintenance Engineer to lead the scoping, planning, and supervision of complex maintenance and project work, optimising plant availability, safety, and asset life cycle health for Perth Seawater Desalination Plant.
Your primary duties will include:
- Comply with all state and federal legislation and regulations related to OH&S or the protection of the environment.
- Ensure compliance to PSDP’s Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental requirements by:
- Following written down procedures and demonstrating a pro-active commitment to safety.
- Actively participate in all sites OH&S and Environmental initiatives and activities.
- Responsible for the provision of Mechanical Engineering Support to the site in the form of technical support to Operators and Maintainers, work/project scoping and execution, technical investigations, incident investigations, and design reviews.
- Supporting the Site’s Engineering & Maintenance Manager during day-to-day activities when required.
- Coordination and Supervision specialised and critical asset corrective works and project works – involving internal and external specialist resources.
- Maximising resource efficiencies through detailed work scoping, optimisation of work orders, efficient planning, and scheduling of tasks in accordance with operational requirements.
- Manage the delivery of works (on-site and off-site) to specified quality, time schedules and budgets.
- Ensure all Project deliverables are managed through Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, Project management Systems and Management of Change Methodologies.
- Assist in the development and/or update of Maintenance and Operational related documentation.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary Qualifications in a technical field (i.e Mechanical).
- 5+ Years experience in Maintenance and/or Engineering Environment.
- WA Driver’s Licence.
- High ethical standards and a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
Desirable skills
- Dangerous Goods, Working at Heights, Confined Space Training.
- Manufacturing, Utility and/or Mining experience in a maintenance or operational context
- Experience in application of Standards, Codes of Practices, Policies and Procedures in the development and execution of work scopes in an industrial context.
- Forklift, Scissor Lift, and EWP Tickets.
- First Aid Training.
