Job Description
What will a day in this role look like:
- Be responsible for our water sector client management in Western Australia, including municipal water providers and contractors
- Focus on leveraging AECOM’s global and national capability to increase market share in Western Australia
- Lead and manage water infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ensure all projects meet regulatory standards and comply with environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, environmental scientists, and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
- Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
- Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in water project management, preferably within an engineering consultancy.
- Passion for building and maintaining long term client relationships to become a trusted advisor through exceptional project performance
- Strong understanding of Australian water regulations, standards, and practices.
- Ideally, prior experience with local WA clients such as Water Corporation
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
