Job Description

What will a day in this role look like:

• Be responsible for our water sector client management in Western Australia, including municipal water providers and contractors
• Focus on leveraging AECOM’s global and national capability to increase market share in Western Australia
• Lead and manage water infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
• Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensure all projects meet regulatory standards and comply with environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, environmental scientists, and stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
• Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in water project management, preferably within an engineering consultancy.
• Passion for building and maintaining long term client relationships to become a trusted advisor through exceptional project performance
• Strong understanding of Australian water regulations, standards, and practices.
• Ideally, prior experience with local WA clients such as Water Corporation
• Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
