Our Opportunity

Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, the Electrical Tradesperson and is responsible for the efficient and compliant maintenance and operation of the plants, ensuring that all maintenance and operations work is conducted safely, in an environmentally sound manner, and in accordance with company policies. 

This role involves:

·       Execute preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance across plant equipment

·       Attend to breakdowns quickly and implement lasting solutions

·       Minimise repeat issues and proactively maintain asset reliability

·       Support capital works including installation, commissioning and testing

·       Identify and share opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and cost

·       Maintain accurate records and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

·       Participate in a rotating on-call roster, with a daily on-call allowance provided. Any after-hours callouts are compensated at applicable overtime rates

·       Ask ChatGPT

·       Coach operators in autonomous maintenance as needed

·       Monitor subcontractor works and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Trade qualifications in Electrotechnology (Current A Class - SA Electrical Licence)

  • Sound communication and documentation skills

  • A strong safety focus with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • An unrestricted driver’s licence

  • Flexibility to travel to other metro sites and participate in a 2nd level on-call roster

Desirable (but not essential):

  • HV Switching Operations

  • PLC or instrumentation experience
