About the role:

As a Financial Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting financial insights with business performance, working alongside passionate teams who value collaboration, innovation, and fresh perspectives. As a Financial Analyst within our Business Planning and Performance team, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving Unitywater’s financial success. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where you’ll partner with business unit leaders to provide insightful analysis, shape budgets and forecasts, and uncover the true drivers of performance. Your expertise will guide smarter decisions, strengthen investment cases, and influence enterprise-wide improvements that make a real impact.

About you: 
Our One Unitywater behaviours - Create the Future, Care Together, and Own It – define how we work together at Unitywater. To contribute to this, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role: The requirements for the position are:

  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance, with CPA/CA membership.
  •  Proven experience in financial analysis, data modelling, and BI tools (Power BI preferred).
  • Strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence.
  • Hands-on experience consolidating, cleansing, and analysing datasets to generate actionable insights.
  • Strong grasp of operational drivers and ability to spot performance improvement opportunities.
  • Prior work experience in a large-scale project environment is desirable
  • Curious, resilient, and confident delivering credible insights that support decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
