About the role:
As a SCADA Support Advisor at Unitywater, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our technology and SCADA infrastructure. Acting as a trusted point of contact, you’ll provide expert advice, innovative solutions, and practical problem-solving to support our teams in delivering essential services to our communities.
You’ll build strong connections across both internal and external stakeholders, helping us work smarter and more effectively together. With a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll contribute to the evolution of our SCADA operations by identifying opportunities, implementing enhancements, and embedding best practices that create lasting impact.
Collaboration and knowledge-sharing will be at the heart of your role. You’ll support the growth of your colleagues through cross-skilling and teamwork, while also providing valuable advice and assistance to the Infrastructure and SCADA Lead. As part of the team, you’ll participate in our rotating On Call roster, ensuring we deliver reliable, 24/7 support to the communities we serve.

Education & Certifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology (or equivalent industry experience)
- Microsoft Server (2012–2022) certification and/or experience
- ITIL v3 Foundation with ITIL process experience
- Cisco Certified Networking Associate (desirable)
- Experience supporting and maintaining networks, telecommunications, and computer systems
- Skilled in installation, configuration, and maintenance of SCADA application software
- Strong troubleshooting across desktop, server, and network infrastructure issues
- Proficiency with VMware, Windows systems, Cisco networking, and Palo Alto security devices
- Experience with backup and recovery systems (e.g., Veeam Backup and Recovery)
- Experience managing and administering cloud tenancy environments to support secure and efficient operations
- Knowledge of cyber-security best practices for critical infrastructure
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, including producing quality documentation
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service to diverse stakeholders
- Team-oriented, proactive, and professional in approach
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
