Role Overview
The Project Engineer will be a key player in delivering SW15 Buoys from fabrication through to successful offshore operation. You’ll work closely with our engineering, fabrication, and marine deployment partners to ensure each buoy is built to specification, tested rigorously, and deployed efficiently. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role where your work directly supports global water security.
Key Responsibilities
• Engineering Delivery – Finalize production-ready engineering documentation, including BoMs, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
• Procurement Interface – Release BoMs to procurement, address technical queries, and confirm supplier compliance.
• Fabrication Oversight – Supervise vessel and systems assembly at partner facilities, maintaining quality, schedule, and safety standards.
• Testing & Commissioning – Lead Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), dockside integration checks, and offshore commissioning; prepare detailed reports.• Deployment Coordination – Support marine transport, mooring, and offshore installation in partnership with marine contractors.
• Operational Support – Monitor early operational performance, troubleshoot, and optimize systems in collaboration with the technical team.
• Project Tracking – Maintain schedules, track milestones, and prepare updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Process, Marine, or related Engineering discipline.
• 3–8 years’ experience in project delivery, marine systems, or water treatment plant engineering.
• Desalination, ultrafiltration, or marine experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in engineering documentation and BoM development.
• Strong CAD/3D capability (SolidWorks preferred).
• Understanding of marine fabrication, corrosion control, and offshore safety.
• Familiarity with automation/control systems (Siemens a plus).
Personal Attributes:
• Practical problem solver, comfortable in workshop, fabrication yard, and offshore environments.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Effective communicator with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
