The opportunity
In this newly created role, you will support the design development of
the Program of Works in the Major
Infrastructure Program Delivery (MIPD). Be a part of the journey as Greater Western Water (GWW) looks to
deliver over $3 billion worth of projects over the next 10 years see what we are working on here
Day to day you will provide advice, support and enable project teams and
technical partners to ensure that (GWW) Major Works Capital Delivery Program is
delivered in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
You will leverage your expertise to ensure the safety, quality, and
financial success of our construction infrastructure projects, while also
ensuring all commercial and compliance requirements are met.
You'll
work in close collaboration with the Delivery leadership team and other
internal partners to enhance the quality and efficiency of the project delivery
pipeline and solution (design) development practices. This includes being a
point of contact for project escalations and supporting uplift across the group
to deliver optimal solutions and ensuring all changes and new approaches
effectively mitigate risk.
Beyond individual projects, this role drives continuous uplift
of solution development capability across the program people, processes, and
systems, ensuring consistency and improvement across the asset delivery
lifecycle

Responsibilities
·
Ensures the successful development of the GWW Major Works
Capital Delivery Program, supporting the planning, design and assurance of the
program pipeline, resource allocation and ensuring integration and alignment
between project teams, asset delivery sections, and other key GWW stakeholders.
· Ensure
the MIPD program pipeline of works is being developed safely, efficiently,
effectively and consistently across the teams.
· Provide
advisory and review support and coaching to PMs and Team Leaders to strengthen
technical rigour, resolve challenges, and embed best-practice solution
development approaches.
· Provide
oversight and assurance that budget, schedule, and risk practices are applied
consistently across projects in solution development phase, supporting PMs and
leaders to manage these effectively.

Take a whole-of-program view to identify
systemic issues, ensure lessons learned are embedded, and drive continuous
improvement across solution development activity across the program.

Ensure solution development activities align
with governance frameworks and the Portfolio and Project Management Framework,
providing assurance on consistency and quality
· Support the successful implementation and management of
technical/design partnerships and supplier relationships in accordance with GWW
requirements.
Skills & Experience
·
Extensive experience in project development
and/or design management within construction/ civil infrastructure/ operational
delivery is essential.
· Outstanding communication expertise and exceptional
influencing and leadership skills to build and maintain strong internal and
external stakeholder relationships.
·
Proven experience working effectively with
regulators, government stakeholders, and with community groups.
· Excellent organisation skills and the ability to
work independently and collaboratively to manage, prioritise and drive critical
outcomes.
·
Proven ability to communicate effectively to both
the executive and board.
· Post
graduate qualification in Project Management or Construction Management will be
highly regarded.
