The opportunity
Due
to an internal movement, we now have this role available!
In
this role you will ensure water and wastewater assets remain safe, reliable,
and optimised to deliver essential services for now and into the future.
The role will see you
providing strategic and technical leadership in asset integrity with a focus on
corrosion management, integrating condition monitoring, preventative
maintenance, and performance analysis to sustain and enhance asset
performance.
You
will lead and work towards continually improving the integrity and optimisation
programs that protect asset condition, minimise lifecycle risk, and deliver the
best value from GWW’s infrastructure investments.
This is a great role for someone to provide leadership,
technical capability, and support to the corrosion protection of GWW’s assets.
Part of the role includes travelling to sites within GWW’s network to ensure
the program’s success.
Responsibilities
·
Leading, embedding and maintaining GWW’s long
term corrosion and asset integrity strategic framework.
·
Providing expert advice on asset integrity and
optimisation across all asset classes, including pipelines, tanks, pump stations,
treatment plants, and associated infrastructure.
·
Leading the design, delivery, and improvement of
programs that monitor and protect asset condition, including corrosion
prevention, tank management, and other integrity initiatives.
·
Monitor, maintain and assess the effectiveness
of cathodic protection systems and electrolysis management systems.
·
Partnering with other areas of GWW to ensure
asset integrity and performance considerations are embedded through the asset
lifecycle.
·
Supporting investigations into asset performance
and failure events, identifying root causes and driving continuous improvement.
· Championing
innovation, data-driven decision making, and a culture of proactive asset
management to extend asset life and enhance reliability.
Skills & Experience
· Project management,
managing budgets and managing external consultants and contractors.
· Demonstrated ability to
work with limited direction and display a self-managed, proactive approach to
resolving complex issues.
· Working with various
Australian Corrosion Standards, and knowledge of cathodic protection technology.
· High
attention to detail in the review of data management, integrity and quality.
- Confidence
and capability in leading and influencing peers on complex technical
matters.
· Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or
Science or equivalent
· Current driver’s licence
