Peritus is delighted to partner with a well-known and highly respected Ireland-based organisation in their search for a Territory Sales Manager, Australia. Having recently entered the Australian market, the company is now seeking an experienced and passionate Territory Sales Manager to join them as they embark on this exciting new chapter.

JOB OVERVIEW
The Territory Sales Manager is tasked with driving growth and establishing a strong presence within the assigned territory. This role requires a proactive and entrepreneurial individual with a proven track record in B2B and partnership development. The successful candidate will leverage their skills to identify opportunities, build relationships at both tactical and strategic level, and achieve ambitious sales targets while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and results-driven individual to be a part of an innovative organization, making a meaningful impact in a dynamic market.

This position involves regular attendance at industry events and support of marketing and commercial activities such as global events, site visits and knowledge-share days.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Market Development

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and challenges within the territory.
  • Develop and execute a strategic market entry plan targeting key prospects, industries, and partnerships.
  • Position Vortech as a trusted partner and establish a reliable market presence.

Relationship Building

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.
  • Develop partnerships with distributors, consultants, and industry influencers.
  • Represent Vortech at trade shows, networking events, and industry forums.

Pipeline Development

  • Generate leads through outreach, referrals, and cold-calling.
  • Qualify leads, understand customer needs, and present tailored solutions.
  • Maintain a detailed and accurate sales pipeline.

Sales Execution

  • Deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
  • Negotiate and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor competitor activities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Partnership Collaboration

  • Align with tactical partners on goals and strategies for mutual success.
  • Leverage partnerships for co-developing solutions and enhancing market reach.
  • Act as liaison between partners and internal teams for seamless collaboration.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and customer support teams.
  • Provide regular sales updates, market insights, and pipeline progress.
  • Use CRM tools to manage interactions and streamline processes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technical teams on high-quality proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Ensure alignment of proposals with customer requirements and company objectives.
  • Maintain cross-functional communication with engineering, procurement, and project management.
  • Lead client proposal presentations and ensure persuasive delivery.
  • Apply client insights to shape broader sales strategies and continuously improve proposal processes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and results-driven individual with experience in driving growth and building market presence.
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage decision-makers and industry influencers.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Australia and attend global events as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in B2B sales, ideally within the water, wastewater, or related industrial sectors. Experience launching and scaling new territories is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong networking, communication, and negotiation abilities. Proven track record of managing the entire sales cycle. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of the wastewater treatment market, aeration equipment, and biological processes. Experience in competitive analysis, sales strategy, and partnership development.
  • Traits: Entrepreneurial mindset, highly self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient. Strong focus on achieving and exceeding targets while being mindful of the challenges of larger municipalities and organisations.

REMUNERATION

  • Salary: Competitive salary package, dependent on skills and experience.
