This is a hands-on, full-time role based at Happy Valley Water Treatment Plant, offering stability, work-life balance, and the opportunity to be part of a high-performing team maintaining essential water infrastructure for Adelaide Metropolitan.

You'll benefit from:

  • Monday to Friday hours, working locally from 7:30am to 4:00pm (~$40/hr - $51/hr)

We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Trade qualifications in Electrotechnology (Current A Class - SA Electrical Licence)

  • Strong experience with PLC diagnosis (preferably Allen Bradley or Schneider PLCs and HMIs)

  • Significant Instrumentation experience

  • Sound communication and documentation skills

  • A strong safety focus with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • An unrestricted driver’s licence

  • Flexibility to travel to other metro sites and participate in a 1st level on-call roster

Highly desirable (but not essential):

  • HV Switching Operations

Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, the Electrical Tradesperson and is responsible for the efficient and compliant maintenance and operation of the plants and distribution infrastructure, ensuring that all maintenance and operations work is conducted safely, in an environmentally sound manner, and in accordance with company policies. 

This role involves:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance

  • Maintaining asset reliability and reducing downtime

  • Responding promptly to breakdowns and implementing long-term solutions

  • Complying with relevant Australian standards and internal policies

  • Supporting team scheduling and providing accurate updates and records

  • Identifying opportunities to improve safety, performance, and cost-efficiency

  • Working collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
