AECOM’s Water Infrastructure group is currently seeking an engaging and collaborative Team Manager for our Mechanical Engineering team based in either our Brisbane or Melbourne office.
In this key leadership role, you’ll help drive market growth, strengthen client relationships, and support the continued development of our talented team.
This role will give you the opportunity to network across all areas of the business and with our leading specialists in Australia and New Zealand and globally, building your professional profile and carving a career pathway that will make a difference.
How you’ll make a difference
- Lead and review mechanical design delivery across major water, wastewater, and conveyance projects.
- Ensure technical and delivery excellence, maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, governance, and client satisfaction.
- Foster collaboration and team growth, mentoring employees, championing digital innovation, and building strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, leveraging regional and global expertise to implement best practices and enhance delivery outcomes.

The qualities that help you thrive
- A relevant tertiary degree, CPEng & RPEQ/RPEV & proven mechanical experience within the water industry
- A passion for leadership, mentoring, collaboration.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability build relationships and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders at varying levels.
- Commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to make informed decisions that balance profitability, efficiency, and market insight.
