About the role:
The Fleet Business Officer is a high-level administration role providing comprehensive business and operational support to Unitywater’s Fleet Section. Reporting to the Plant and Fleet Team Leader, this is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity in a high-paced environment, offering the flexibility of working 4 days per week with options to choose which days. Based at our Maroochydore location, you will be at the heart of fleet operations, helping ensure efficient, compliant, and smooth-running processes.

You will manage end-to-end administrative processes across fleet systems, including financial reconciliations, reporting, asset and compliance records, and support for procurement, budgeting, insurance, and asset lifecycle activities. This role is ideal for an organised and detail-focused administrator who thrives on managing multiple priorities, working autonomously, and providing reliable support to a busy operational team.

  • Demonstrated experience using financial, fleet and/or asset management systems.
  • Relevant qualification such as Certificate III in Business Administration, Local Government or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly across the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Sound financial administration and purchasing skills, with an understanding of fleet, plant and equipment management.
  • Experience supporting fleet or operational environments, including monitoring performance, contracts, or service providers.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a customer-focused team environment.
  • Strong time management, organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving capability with strong attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively as part of a team.
  • Ability to apply and uphold company procedures, standards, and WH&S requirements.
  • Current C Class Driver Licence.
