Who we are

SUEZ is a partnership with SA Water delivering together in the Production and Treatment (P&T) Alliance trusted water services for a sustainable and healthy South Australia.  Responsible for operating and maintaining five water treatment plants, five wastewater treatment plants, tanks, pump stations and control installations in Metropolitan Adelaide, the P&T Alliance encompasses expertise and solutions from SUEZ and SA Water working collaboratively as one team, one brand with shared responsibility for trusted water services that our community needs now and into the future.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Advisor to join the Risk, Compliance & Procurement function within the SA Water Production & Treatment Alliance.

In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the Alliance’s operational and maintenance activities by delivering high-quality, value-driven procurement outcomes. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and key internal stakeholders, as well as external suppliers and contractors, to ensure procurement activities are compliant, commercially sound, and aligned with Alliance objectives.

You will be responsible for managing tender processes, contract and supplier performance. A key priority for this role will be managing a significant contract portfolio, including large contracts, while balancing competing priorities and identifying opportunities for cost savings and contract optimisation.

This role is well suited to someone who is proactive, commercially curious, highly collaborative, and motivated to contribute to continuous improvement across a complex operational environment.

About You

You are a procurement professional with a growth mindset, who thrives in collaborating across the  business to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose procurement solutions. You are personable and confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and are comfortable operating across operational, maintenance, and corporate environments.

You bring strong organisational skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. You enjoy identifying opportunities to improve value, strengthen supplier performance, and support the business through sound procurement advice and commercial insight.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

You bring experience gained within operational, infrastructure, utilities, or other asset-intensive environments, where safety, reliability, and continuity of service are critical. You apply this experience across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, confidently managing tendering, contract development, supplier engagement, and ongoing contract management to support operational and corporate stakeholders.

You are comfortable working with a broad range of supplier agreements and commercial contracts, and you consistently monitor supplier KPIs and contractual milestones, ensuring suppliers remain compliant while providing updates to the Alliance. You take a structured and proactive approach to contract performance, identifying risks early and supporting continuous improvement.

You are viewed as a trusted procurement advisor within the Adelaide Production & Treatment Alliance, known for providing practical, commercially sound, and policy-aligned advice. You build strong working relationships and confidently influence stakeholders, partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, and support teams to ensure procurement outcomes are fit for purpose and operationally effective.

You thrive in environments with competing priorities, bringing clarity through strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to surface key insights that support informed decision-making. You are proactive in identifying opportunities to improve value, optimise contracts, and support cost-effective service delivery.

You are experienced in managing data registers, including working with SharePoint-based systems or similar platforms, and you are comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite to support reporting, analysis, and procurement documentation.
