Ekistica (www.ekistica.com.au) is a professional advisory and technical consultancy firm based in Central Australia with extensive experience delivering innovative solutions to the complex challenges of remote area infrastructure development, across Australia, the Pacific, South Asia and beyond.

We pursue this by providing high quality, independent technical advisory, design engineering and project delivery services to a wide range of national and international clients that include development banks/organisations, utilities, remote community service organisations, start-ups, investment firms and government.


You will work alongside our dynamic team of more than thirty professional engineers, project managers, engagement specialists and data analysts, you will help both lead and support delivery of a challenging suite of projects such as infrastructure, masterplanning and essential services in remote Indigenous communities, off-grid and utility scale renewable energy systems, water and wastewater treatment planning and waste resource recovery.


A mid-career engineer (civil, structural or environmental) you will share our passion for helping develop regional and remote areas and have a desire to make a difference.  With a broad range of project experience, including engineering design, you will work collaboratively with our clients and other team members to bring ideas and projects to life.


Your capabilities will include:

Required

·         At least 10 years Australian industry experience

·         At least 5 years of design experience in one or more of the following areas: roads, stormwater, water, wastewater, waste management, foundations, industrial buildings, structures or power system infrastructure;

·         The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of people;

·         Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work under minimal supervision as well as part of a team.

·         Chartered or pursuing chartership.

 

Desirable

·         Effective contractor engagement and management;

·         Proven capabilities in project management, construction management and project delivery;

·         Experience managing procurement processes and contract management;

·         High quality relationship management skills, with the ability to engage project stakeholders and develop ongoing strong client relationships;

·         Experience living or working in regional or remote Australia.



The position is full-time and based in Ekistica’s offices in Alice Springs, with travel to project sites in Australia and potentially overseas.


Ekistica offers 5 weeks annual leave each year, flexible working arrangements, an annual professional development allowance and legislated superannuation in addition to base salary, annual CPI adjustments to base salary, and a bonus structure that includes both an annual personal performance bonus of up to 5% of salary (exclusive of legislated superannuation contribution, which is additional), and a share of the Employee Profit Share Pool which when made, is distributed annually to staff proportionate to their base salary and length of employment with Ekistica.     

Your annual performance bonus will be assessed against the following key metrics:  

  • Excellence in provision of technical expertise and advice. 
  • Thorough and robust project management. 
  • Collaboration and support of other members of the Ekistica team. 
  • Demonstrated engagement with the vision and values of Ekistica. 
  • Continuous focus on maintaining a culture of safety within the organisation.

Salary range:

$110,000 – 140,000 (base salary) dependent on experience.
