About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical professional to work primarily on water infrastructure projects across Lowood, Toowoomba, and Wivenhoe. The role includes delivering electrical works such as switchboard replacements, generator installations, industrial electrical installations, and PLC & control system works within pumping stations, treatment facilities, and associated assets. You will be working in live operational environments, supporting critical water infrastructure with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance with Australian Standards.

Please note this role is based in Toowoomba.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project safety, environmental, and quality management plans.
• Conduct audits, incident investigations, and ensure compliance with WHS and isolation procedures.
• Manage QA systems, including ITPs, Lot Registers, and NCR close-outs.
• Assist with project financials: cost forecasting, progress claims, subcontractor agreements, and reporting.
• Engage with clients, attend meetings, and provide proactive solutions to maintain program and quality compliance.
• Coordinate design reviews for constructability and compliance with Australian Standards.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical or control systems engineering within infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage small teams and projects valued $5–10M annually.
• Strong understanding of WHS, QA, and environmental compliance.
• Familiarity with Australian electrical standards and design review processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in water or industrial infrastructure projects is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Control Systems Engineering.
• Construction Induction Card, CPR, LV Rescue.
• Open Driver’s Licence (Manual preferred).
