Who we are

SUEZ is a partnership with SA Water delivering together in the Production and Treatment (P&T) Alliance trusted water services for a sustainable and healthy South Australia.  Responsible for operating and maintaining five water treatment plants, five wastewater treatment plants, tanks, pump stations and control installations in Metropolitan Adelaide, the P&T Alliance encompasses expertise and solutions from SUEZ and SA Water working collaboratively as one team, one brand with shared responsibility for trusted water services that our community needs now and into the future.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Technician / Maintainer to join the Operations & Maintenance team within the Production & Treatment Alliance.

In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of water treatment assets by delivering high-quality operational and maintenance outcomes. You will work closely with Plant Supervisors, Engineers, Maintenance teams, and key internal stakeholders to ensure plant performance, safety, and environmental requirements are consistently met.

You will be responsible for operating and monitoring treatment plant processes, responding to SCADA alarms, undertaking routine operational tasks and maintenance activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. A key focus of the role is maintaining optimal plant performance while balancing competing operational priorities in a safety-critical, regulated environment.

This role is well suited to someone who is safety-focused, technically capable, and motivated to contribute to the delivery of essential water services for the Adelaide community.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

You are a safety-focused and practical operator or technician with experience in water treatment, industrial processing, utilities, or other asset-intensive environments where reliability and compliance are critical. You take pride in operating and maintaining plant assets safely, responding to process issues, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality drinking water.

You are comfortable monitoring plant performance, responding to SCADA alarms, undertaking routine operational and maintenance tasks, and making process adjustments in collaboration with supervisors and engineers. You follow procedures, Safe Work Instructions, and Permit to Work requirements, and actively contribute to a strong safety and environmental culture.

You bring good organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing operational priorities in a dynamic environment. You are proactive in identifying risks and improvement opportunities and are known as a reliable team member who communicates clearly and works well with others.

Trade-qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, candidates without a trade qualification but with relevant operational or process experience will also be considered.
