About the Role

Our ANZ Finance function is in an exciting phase of transformation, and we are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to play a key role in our evolving finance function.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will combine strong financial accounting expertise with exposure to M&A activities, providing forward-looking insights that guide operational and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with SUEZ ANZ business leaders ensure financial integrity while identifying opportunities to create value, improve processes, and support growth initiatives.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role that requires someone who thrives on initiative, autonomy, and collaboration, bringing innovative thinking to complex problems and confidently partnering with business leaders to define financial excellence and drive high-performing outcomes.

About You

This role will suit a self-starter who thrives on autonomy, takes ownership of outcomes, and enjoys collaborating across teams to influence business decisions. The ideal candidate will bring 8–10 years’ experience in Financial Accounting, gained within an ASX-listed organisation or a global multinational, and be comfortable operating in complex, matrixed environments.

You will demonstrate curiosity, strategic thinking, and a forward-looking mindset. Finding opportunities to improve processes, enhance systems, and add real commercial value. Exposure to complex corporate structures is highly desirable, along with a tech-savvy approach to ERP platforms, reporting tools, and process automation.

This role is ideal for someone energised by challenge, driven to innovate, and motivated to create tangible business impact while building strong, trusted relationships across the organisation.

Success in the role will be demonstrated through the ability to provide insightful, forward-looking guidance to business leaders, support strategic and operational initiatives, and champion smarter, more efficient ways of working. The role offers the opportunity to be a visible contributor to continuous improvement, high-quality business partnering, and value creation, within an environment that actively encourages innovation and professional growth.

The position is offered on a hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
