This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Georges River Hub operating and maintaining our water resource recovery assets in a truly diverse and interesting role. No two days are the same! 

What will you be doing? 

As a Production Officer Level 2, you’ll play a key role in the safe operation and maintenance of water resource recovery assets, ensuring protection of the environment, compliance to Environmental Protection Licences and exceeding customer expectations. 

You will be reporting directly to the Production Manager, Georges River Hub, where you'll contribute to the delivery of high-quality water resource recovery services to local communities. You will based be based predominantly from our facilities at Liverpool and Glenfield. 

You will: 

  • Operating the plants in all conditions, in alignment with Water Resource Recovery and Sydney Water frameworks including health and safety requirements, quality and information management protocols, incident response and business continuity frameworks 
  • Undertaking daily plant performance monitoring and adjust process control parameters 
  • Contributing to the prioritisation of maintenance and renewals to inform weekly scheduling, monthly forecasting and medium to long term planning. 
  • Executing on-site process and asset checks using available systems, processes and procedures 
  • Be actively involved in projects associated with the plant, this includes condition assessments, project prioritisation, design reviews and working closely with project teams and the external contractor 

Who are we looking for? 

  • Trade qualifications (electrician / instrumentation specialist or mechanical) or qualifications in engineering / science or equivalent experience 
  • Current driver’s license and your own vehicle with flexibility to travel across various locations within your hub 
  • Experience in production or manufacturing in wastewater / water is highly advantageous 
  • Computer skills, basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable learning customised software packages
