About the role
Due
to an internal promotion, we are looking to appoint a Senior Projects &
Maintenance Engineer, based at our Perth Seawater Desalination Plant.
Reporting
to the Asset Manager, your role responsibilities will include:

Provide mechanical engineering support,
including technical guidance, work packages, investigations, design reviews and
shutdown/project scoping.

Lead and supervise critical maintenance and
project work, coordinating internal teams and external specialists.
·
Develop scopes, methodologies and execution
plans, including subcontractor engagement.
·
Optimise resource use through detailed work
planning, scheduling and work order management.
·
Support the Asset Manager with day‑to‑day
activities and provide leave coverage.
·
Prepare and manage annual maintenance project
business cases, budgets and schedules.
·
Oversee delivery of onsite/offsite works to
required standards, timelines and costs.
·
Contribute to monthly reporting, identifying
risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies.
·
Ensure accurate project documentation through
CMMS, project management systems and MOC processes.
·
Assist in maintaining operational and
maintenance documentation.
·
Participate in site safety, OH&S and
environmental programs, promoting a proactive safety culture.
·
Provide after‑hours technical support when
required.
About you
A
Degree
in Mechanical Engineering is required, along with a strong
commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate the ability to train, coach and mentor others,
combined with excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management
skills. They should possess proven problem‑solving capability and the ability
to forecast and plan future workloads. Knowledge of regulatory requirements for
fixed‑plant assets and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite are essential.
Required tickets and training include Dangerous Goods, Working at Heights,
Confined Space, First Aid and a WA Driver’s Licence.
Desirable
attributes include 5+ years in a maintenance or
engineering environment, as well as experience within manufacturing, utilities
or mining sectors. Candidates who have applied standards, codes, policies and
procedures in industrial work scopes will be highly regarded. Additional licences
such as Forklift, Scissor Lift or EWP are also advantageous.
