About the role of Business Development Manager: 

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Underground Mining Business Development Manager, who will assist with growing company sales, specifically 1000V pumps. The main responsibility is providing product advice and support to existing and new customers throughout Australia. The individual should have a background in submersible pump sales or similar, including the mining industry. Candidate is to be organized as role may require working from home. The role includes travelling to remote areas through-out Australia. You will play an important part in ensuring quotes, technical advice and product information are provided in a timely manner.

We supply new pumps/products, replacements, and spare parts for clients across the country and international regions.

 

Your new role will include but is not limited to: 

  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Provide quotes/tenders for the internal sales team and customers direct
  • Provide technical support and information about our pump range
  • Travel, arrange and facilitate face to face meetings with existing and potential customers
  • Selecting pumps for the specific application
  • Onsite audits of underground dewatering and pumping requirements, including recommending improvements and 1000V pump selection.
  • Seek and develop growth strategies and plans by identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Providing regular reports to the National Sales Manager on sales performance and recommendations to optimize business development strategies

 

About You/Skills Required:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in pump sales or business development within the mining sector
  • Strong understanding of submersible pumps
  • Be able to develop new relationships with key decision makers and possess strong business development skills
  • Have experience in managing customers’ requirements from beginning to end
  • Experience in outbound and inbound sales processes with the ability to turn enquires into sales
  • Technical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and enthusiasm
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated B2B sales ability
  • MYOB advance experience will be held in high regard
