AECOM’s Water business line is seeking an inspiring and collaborative Leader to join our Adelaide office. In this key leadership role, you’ll help drive market growth, strengthen client relationships, and support the continued development of our talented team in South Australia.

You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with specialists across Australia, New Zealand, and globally, building your professional profile and shaping a rewarding career that makes a real difference.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Partner with local leadership to shape strategy and culture, aligning with the broader Water Business Line to identify and seize emerging opportunities in defence, transport, and water infrastructure.
  • Maintain and develop collaborative relationships within the Adelaide market in key sectors, while representing the organisation at industry events to elevate visibility and influence.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive culture while mentoring and uplifting junior professionals, enhancing recruitment efforts to build a resilient and diverse team in Adelaide.
  • Provide expertise across defence, transport, and water projects, applying your financial and project management skills to ensure effective planning, budgeting, and the integration of innovative delivery methods that enhance project outcomes.

About You

The qualities that help you thrive

  • A relevant tertiary degree & CPEng.
  • A passion for mentoring, leadership & collaboration.
  • Established relationships within the Adelaide market, ideally across the infrastructure, water, defence, and transport sectors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability build relationships and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Knowledge and experience in defence, transport, and water infrastructure, with familiarity in working with government frameworks.
  • Commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to make informed decisions that balance profitability, efficiency, and market insight.
