The P&T Alliance is responsible for the operation and maintenance of five water treatment plants, five wastewater treatment plants, numerous pump stations, capital delivery projects and digital solutions and transformation. Our Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to be part of a small, high-performing team delivering essential water services to Metropolitan Adelaide. A competitive remuneration package and a great working environment are on offer.
This role will ensure the efficient and compliant operation of the Happy Valley Water Treatment Plant, delivering high-quality safe drinking water to customers in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plant systems to ensure safe, efficient water treatment.
Monitor SCADA alarms, process performance, and make adjustments with supervisors.
Assist and manage plant operations when required, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Perform sampling, testing, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain housekeeping, chemical stocks, and support capital works projects.
Undertake maintenance work including preventive tasks, fault diagnosis and repair
Provide support to other members of the maintenance team
Participate in training and on-call duties, promoting energy efficiency and cost savings.
Essential Requirements
Mechanical Trade
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
Current unrestricted driver's licence.
Participation in on-call roster (1 in 4 weeks).
Previous experience in industrial Process/Water Treatment and/or SCADA (highly desirable)

Certificate III in Water Operations
