About the Role

We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our Engineering team, supporting the development of detailed 2D and 3D design deliverables across a range of water infrastructure projects.

In this role, you will work closely with engineers and project teams to produce accurate and constructible drawings, models, and documentation. You will also support the ongoing development and maintenance of CAD standards, libraries, and digital design systems, including 3D modelling environments such as AVEVA E3D (preferred but not essential).

This role suits someone who enjoys both hands-on drafting/model creation and the structure of maintaining high-quality digital engineering systems within a project delivery environment.

About You

You are a CAD Designer or Design Drafter with strong experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments. You take pride in producing accurate, high-quality drawings and enjoy supporting engineers in translating design concepts into buildable documentation.

You are comfortable working within structured project environments and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You are also interested in improving design systems, templates, and CAD libraries to support better engineering outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in CAD design / drafting within a project delivery environment

  • Strong capability in AutoCAD and/or 3D modelling tools (AVEVA E3D advantageous)

  • Experience producing detailed design drawings and supporting construction documentation

  • Understanding of engineering design principles and documentation standards

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams

  • Ability to maintain accuracy under deadlines and manage competing priorities

  • Familiarity with digital engineering workflows, CAD libraries, and design databases

Highly regarded: Experience in water or infrastructure projects and exposure to CAD administration / library management
