We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Water Resources professional to join our South-East Queensland Water Resources team.

By joining our team, you will work on the most transformative projects and have access to mentoring and guidance from our industry-leading specialists. You will also be provided with opportunities to collaborate across interstate and international offices as part of the broader Water Resources sector.

With AECOM’s flexibility, you can base yourself in either our Brisbane or Gold Coast office.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Be part of a high-performing team delivering hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, drainage design, and integrated water management solutions, with a strong focus on technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a range of geographies to deliver integrated outcomes.
  • Contribute to an exciting and diverse portfolio of projects across all market sectors, including energy, transport, water, environment and government, across South-East Queensland and beyond.
  • Support the preparation of tenders and proposals.

About You

The qualities that help you thrive

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering discipline, Water Resource Management, or Environmental Science/Hydrology and 2+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience with water resource modelling and design tools such as TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC‑RAS (1D and 2D), RORB, XPRAFTS, and URBS, along with a working knowledge of industry standards and guidelines such as ARR 2019, QUDM, TMR manual and AustRoads.
  • Strong client focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work both independently and within teams, and contribute effectively to projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
