About the role
Working within the Property Portfolio Development team, you will lead the end-to-end development and delivery of property optimisation initiatives and projects, providing technical analysis, risk management and stakeholder leadership to maximise value across Sydney Water’s portfolio
Key accountabilities pertaining to this role are
- Lead delivery of property optimisation initiatives, including rationalisation/divestment/highest-and-best-use (incl. rezonings), leasing/licensing income opportunities, and circular economy/operational efficiency improvements
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships (e.g., broader property team, business units, Local/State Government, developers, consultants, contractors and customers) to enable alignment and timely delivery
- Manage internal and external enquiries and coordinate Group Property’s response to complex land and property issues
- Manage the provision of accurate project/portfolio/financial data and insights to support robust decision-making, working closely with Commercial Performance on capital and operating budgets
- Ensure compliance with legislative, environmental, regulatory and commercial obligations while proactively identifying and managing project, program and reputational risks.
As You will also bring:
- Degree qualification in Business, Property, Town Planning or similar
- Experience working in property development/management, disposals and/or planning
- Demonstrated project/program management capability across planning, delivery, governance, risk management and evaluation of complex initiatives
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with Local Councils, NSW planning authorities and statutory approval processes
- Ability to analyse complex technical and commercial information (including technical plans and specialist advice) to support sound decisions
- Desirable - Experience in Project Managing all Property Disposal Transaction activities including land rezoning proposals, subdividing, community and stakeholder consultation
- Desirable - Experience in town planning, land development or Property Portfolio management
