About the role

Sydney Water is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Organisational Development Manager to join our Employee Experience team. You will be responsible for leading the design, integration and delivery of a cohesive organisational development portfolio that lifts culture, leadership, performance and talent outcomes, aligned to business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and unify Sydney Water’s cultural framework by overseeing the development of a cohesive set of cultural pillars, values and behaviours aligned to Sydney Water’s strategy.
  • Define fit-for-purpose frameworks across culture, leadership, performance, talent and employee listening.
  • Develop and implement Sydney Water’s leadership capability strategy, including identification of capability requirements in line with the strategic workforce plan, and the development of programs to build and retain capability in the short, medium and long term.
  • Develop and implement Sydney Water’s employee listening strategy to ensure feedback is captured throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Lead the redesign and stewardship of enterprise talent and succession frameworks that identify, develop and mobilise both leadership and critical talent, ensuring alignment with job architecture and the strategic workforce plan.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Organisational Development practitioners to deliver the portfolio plan, fostering collaboration across the People and Culture team.

Skills and Experience

  • Significant experience in Organisational Development including leadership of culture, leadership capability, performance, talent and employee listening.
  • Proven success leading enterprise-wide transformation programs in large, complex, matrixed organisations.
  • Strong portfolio/program delivery experience in organisational development including technology and process improvement.
  • Significant experience leading teams to uplift capability and transform delivery in change-resistant, complex environments.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to produce executive-level insights in a concise and effective manner.

Educational Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications on Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or similar.
  • Tool-specific qualifications e.g. Hogan, Human Synergistics or similar is desirable.
  • Change management qualifications e.g. PROSCI accreditation is desirable.
