Due to significant contract awards within our Water business, we are expanding our Water Infrastructure team in Melbourne.

The Water Infrastructure group provides services to a range of internal and external clients on projects covering water and wastewater treatment, dams, asset management, major conveyance, industrial, civil infrastructure, and defence sectors, with a key focus on supporting sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve.

By joining our team, you’ll be immersed in a strong, long-term pipeline of work, handling complex, large-scale and iconic projects across ANZ.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Proactive delivery of high-quality, timely and value-driven treatment planning solutions focused on optimisation, sustainability, regulatory compliance, whole-of-lifecycle cost, and acceptable operational risk
  • Apply technical judgement, foresight and creativity to anticipate and resolve treatment process and project challenges, define design objectives and requirements, and contribute to treatment planning standards and guidelines
  • Provide technical leadership for water and wastewater treatment planning studies, including process selection, capacity assessments, and upgrade/augmentation strategies
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, building capability in treatment process design, modelling, and planning across the team.

The qualities that help you thrive:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Proven experience in water and/or wastewater treatment planning or process engineering, ideally within a consulting environment
  • Understanding of treatment processes, regulatory frameworks, and key drivers influencing plant performance and capacity planning
  • Experience developing and evaluating treatment options, supported by sound technical analysis and engineering judgement
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams, with exposure to project delivery or coordination responsibilities.
