Manager Operations & Maintenance (Water and Wastewater) – Isaac Region

We’re now looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Manager Operations & Maintenance to join our Water and Waste directorate.

What you’ll be responsible for?
In this high-impact leadership role, you will:

• Oversee end-to-end operations and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality services
• Champion safety, environmental compliance and regulatory standards
• Drive asset management, performance monitoring and operational excellence
• Build a strong, values-driven culture and develop future leaders
• Represent Council across industry and stakeholder networks

  
What you’ll bring?
You’re a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise and a passion for leadership. You’ll also have:

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience at Local Government management level or in a similar role, with proven ability to work independently, exercise initiative and meet deadlines;
• Proven experience in water/wastewater operations and maintenance leadership
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry best practice
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and driving service improvement programs
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Construction White Card Construction Industry (mandatory)
• C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence (mandatory)
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, environmental management or a related discipline (mandatory)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioural testing (mandatory)
