This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant delivery of Council’s water and sewer services. You will supervise daily operations, support your team, and oversee the maintenance and performance of critical infrastructure including treatment plants, pump stations, and distribution networks.
Working closely with the Manager Water and Wastewater, you’ll also contribute to capital works, asset management planning, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure sustainable service delivery.

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a practical, solutions-focused leader with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to safety, teamwork, and service delivery.
To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate III in Water Industry Operations and Sewer Operations (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in water and wastewater operations and maintenance
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage competing priorities
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements, including Australian Drinking Water Guidelines
- Experience delivering maintenance programs and overseeing infrastructure works
- Current MR licence and relevant tickets (or willingness to obtain)
What We Offer
Annual salary range - $83,985 to 89,861+ Super depending on skills and experience.
Plus:
- Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
- Retention Bonus: $5,000 (paid annually as lump sum - subject to performance)
- Market Loading: $5,000 (paid hourly, subject to satisfactory performance)
