TRILITY is seeking an experienced and operationally focused professional to lead our network operations across regional Victorian communities (Bendigo region)
The role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the leadership, performance, and continuous improvement of water distribution, wastewater collection and recycled water networks.
You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation, maintenance and asset management of critical water and wastewater infrastructure, while supporting long-term service reliability and asset sustainability.
Key responsibilities
As the accountable leader for network operations, you will oversee the performance, maintenance and compliance of water, wastewater and recycled water networks across the region. This includes:
Leading and developing a geographically dispersed team including Team Leaders, Coordinators and Operators
Driving a strong safety culture, operational accountability and continuous improvement
Overseeing the operation of networks to meet service, regulatory and customer performance targets
Ensuring timely response to network incidents, service interruptions and customer issues
Managing preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance programs
Monitoring asset performance and supporting asset renewal and lifecycle planning activities
Acting as Incident Controller during major operational incidents and emergency events
Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements including water quality, EPA and WHS legislation
Managing operational budgets, contractor performance and procurement activities
Building strong relationships with stakeholders, regulators, contractors and the community
What we are looking for
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Extensive experience in the management, operation and maintenance of water, wastewater networks or similar pipeline systems
Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
Strong operational decision-making capability and focus on service reliability and performance
Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and asset management practices
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contractors and operational performance
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across all levels
Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Water Industry Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Project Management or similar (highly regarded)
