• Lead the development and implementation of new commercial frameworks, and negotiation of agreements.
• Permanent role based from Parramatta but with hybrid working available

About the role
You will identify high-quality ideas for new agreements, frameworks and service offerings as well as conduct the initial development of concepts in order to distil opportunities that are worthy of further investigation and development
- Lead development of commercial policies, frameworks, and developer service models
- Provide SME advice on commercial principles, contracts, and policy to stakeholder teams
- Negotiate agreements with developers, agencies, and service providers to enable efficient service delivery
- Collaborate with Legal to develop contracts, agreements, and deeds
- Guide teams on commercial risk management and best practice
You will also lead and manage the Commercial Policy and Programs team, engaging staff with Sydney Water’s strategy and values. This includes building a high-performance culture through effective leadership, managing leave and flexible working arrangements, and coaching team members to achieve KPIs and career growth.
About You:
In addition to tertiary qualifications (e.g. commerce, law, business or related discipline) or experience deemed equivalent, we are looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, including setting clear direction, coaching staff, and fostering accountability across multiple direct reports.
- Experience in commercial management and governance frameworks
Strong commercial acumen with ability to deliver concepts through to implementation - Proven track record in developing service offerings, frameworks, and agreements to drive business transformation
- Understanding of political, market, and commercial drivers for major projects and partnership opportunities
- Knowledge of regulatory, financial, and competitive environments for commercial service delivery
