About the role:
As Project Manager you will oversee and lead the development of large-scale complex infrastructure projects and programs from initiation to completion within the Major Projects portfolio.
Your primary responsibility will be to guide projects through the early development and planning phases, ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and stakeholders, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of high‑risk, complex infrastructure projects from initiation to handover, ensuring compliance with NEC4 processes and Sydney Water’s project delivery framework.
- Drive collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and Supply Chain partners to ensure consistent, accurate and efficient project, cost and risk management.
- Oversee project planning and controls, including developing project plans, schedules, risk registers, business cases and contract management activities.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, early warnings, stakeholder engagement and community communications to keep projects on scope, on time and within budget.
- Ensure safety, quality and environmental compliance, manage procurement and commissioning activities, and provide accurate project reporting and close‑out documentation.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, along with a NSW White Card and an unrestricted Class C driver’s licence.
- Experience successfully delivering large, complex infrastructure or utilities projects, including leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple competing priorities.
- Strong capability in project management, NEC contract administration, stakeholder engagement and working within capital works programs.
- A collaborative, ethical and proactive working style able to communicate with impact, build strong relationships and navigate change with confidence.
- Proven ability to manage project risk, schedule, cost, quality, safety and environment using multiple systems and platforms, while taking accountability for decisions and outcomes.
