• Manage relationships with Sydney Water’s complex high-value business customers 
• Based from our Parramatta offices with hybrid working available 
• EA Level 12:  $121,860.59 base salary plus super plus RDO 

Are you an experienced Customer Service relationship professional with technical expertise in wastewater or similar highly regulated industry?  This is an excellent opportunity to join our Business Customer Accounts team as a Customer Relationship Officer. 

About the role 

This role will support Sydney Water’s business customers to manage their accounts, ensuring that they comply with water regulations, and provide great customer service when advice is needed. You’ll also work closely with third party contractors on testing specialist backflow devices for high-risk business customers, solving problems and ensure smooth processes. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage third-party contractor contracts, ensuring performance, compliance, and service delivery standards are met. 
• Resolve customer issues and assist in settlement of any disputes.  
• Monitor compliance ensuring clients meet regulatory obligations, and update their agreements.  
• Provide technical advice based on relevant regulations and guidelines.  
• Use systems like SAP to track customer activity and manage billing.  
• Support awareness campaigns related to water use and education.  
• Work with councils and other partners to ensure compliance standards are met.  
• Compose documents and help train other team members.  
• Manage projects and oversee service provider contracts. 

About you:  

In addition to relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, environmental science or similar and at least 5 years' experience in a relevant industry you will have: 

• Detailed knowledge of the impacts of commercial and industrial business practices on water utility products and services  
• High level communication, negotiation and stakeholder management and networking skills  
• Demonstrated high level of systems and process skills, including MS Office and SAP systems
