Join our Engineering Advisory Team as a Senior Principal Electrical Engineer. In this role, you'll lead electrical engineering governance and standards development, provide expert consulting and technical advice, and manage technology development, application, and process design across infrastructure projects throughout WA.

What the
role will involve
·
Lead electrical
engineering development and innovation throughout the planning stages of new
and/or modified assets
·
Provide engineering
consulting advice on electrical engineering to enable development and
continuous improvement of best practice systems and tool
·
Lead major studies,
research and electrical engineering investigations to improve the performance
of existing assets
·
Provide subject matter
expert advice on high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems,
electrical earthing and arc flash investigations
·
Represent Water
Corporation in consultations and negotiations with Government agencies, local
authorities, Water Services Association of Australia, industry bodies,
consultants, developers and stakeholders
·
Oversee, review, and
approve in-house and consultant design deliverables for electrical engineering
to ensure conformity with customer requirements and the Corporation's standards
and best practices
·
Lead electrical
engineering initiatives and provide electrical engineering support to all
sections across the business unit
·
Engage widely with
Stakeholders throughout the Water Corporation to develop fit for purpose
electrical standards
About you
You’ll hold a degree level
qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, with extensive experience
in electrical engineering, along with the ability to analyse existing and/or
proposed infrastructure assets to evaluate meet engineering and economic
outcomes.
Your
demonstrated leadership, and ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence
both internal and external senior stakeholders will ensure success in this
role. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or similar engineering
accreditation is preferred.
