What we are looking for:
We are recruiting two Wastewater Treatment Team Leaders for our Aubinville and Pulgul treatments plants.
As a Wastewater Treatment Team Leader you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, compliant wastewater treatment services that protect public health and the environment. You’ll oversee treatment processes, coordinate maintenance activities, support team capability, and contribute to the performance and reliability of our wastewater treatment facilities.
What your day will look like:
- Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day wastewater treatment operations to meet environmental, regulatory and service objectives.
- Monitor and optimise treatment processes, respond to operational issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain plant reliability and compliance.
- Use SCADA, telemetry and laboratory data to monitor performance, respond to alarms and participate in on‑call duties.
- Coordinate chemical procurement, handling and dosing, ensuring safe and compliant use.
- Support and develop the treatment team through scheduling, coaching, performance feedback and fostering a positive, accountable culture.

What you’ll need for success:
- Certificate III in Water Operations (Wastewater Treatment)
- Class C or CA driver licence
- General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Confined Spaces certification (or ability to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience in wastewater treatment operations, maintenance and process optimisation.
- Proven ability to lead, supervise and develop staff to achieve operational outcomes.
- Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, compliance requirements and the ability to interpret data to make informed process adjustments.
- Proficiency with SCADA, telemetry and computer‑based systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of WHS, environmental management and risk control in an operational environment.

- Chainsaw Level 2
- High Risk Work Licence (Forklift)
- Chemical Users Certification
- ACDC Commercial Operators Licence
