About the Role

We're looking for a customer-focused Development Consultant to support property developers, consultants and service providers through Sydney Water's development servicing process. A key part of the role is providing technical advice on out of scope applications, assisting with assessment and helping customers navigate servicing requirements for new developments.

Working closely with developers, councils and internal teams, you'll help deliver efficient outcomes while ensuring compliance with Sydney Water standards and protecting critical water infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess out of scope development applications and provide timely customer advice.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, plans and development documentation.
  • Support developers and consultants through the servicing and connections process.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, councils and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver compliant, customer-focused outcomes and meet service targets.

About You

You have experience in engineering, infrastructure, property development or development servicing, combined with a strong customer focus.

Ideally you'll bring:

  • Qualifications in Engineering, Planning, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of development servicing, utilities or infrastructure delivery processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service.
