Due to a busy project portfolio and a number of growth prospects, TRILITY is looking to appoint a Design and Commissioning Manager to join our Projects team.

This role can be based in any of our NSW or VIC locations.

The role

Reporting to the General Manager as a subject matter expert in water and wastewater treatment systems, you’ll play a pivotal role in both the design and commissioning phases of medium to large-scale water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects. You’ll also contribute technical insight across the wider business and help shape TRILITY’s future capabilities. 

Key responsibilities 

• Lead conceptual and detailed process/mechanical design for municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams across projects and tenders (up to 30+ people).

• Implement robust quality assurance and document management systems.

• Facilitate design review processes including HAZOP and Safety in Design (SiD).

• Support early-stage business development with technical input and risk assessment.

• Act as Commissioning Manager on major projects, leading teams through integrated commissioning activities.

• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate closely with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.

What we are looking for

• 10-15 years’ experience in design leadership of complex, multidisciplinary engineering environments.

• Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in project and quality management systems.

• Experience with document and drawing management systems

• Knowledge of the water industry in Australia / New Zealand

• Willing to travel to meet project needs
