WATER EDUCATION RESOURCES FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Water is essential to sustain life and is a part of all our lives. Gaining an understanding of the importance of water to living things and to the environment, sustainability, water security and water quality is an integral part of early education and is further developed at all stages of the educational curriculum from early childhood and into the secondary years.

Water education resources for teachers, parents and educators are aligned with the key learning areas (KLA’s) of Science and Technology and Human Society and its Environment (HSIE) are designed to build upon the development of young children’s knowledge of water with fun ‘hands on’ activities, work sheets, experiments and a growing understanding of their place in the natural world and the water cycle – the relationship water plays in their environment and life cycles.
